Just a quick little spoiler-free review.
If you’re like me and loved Guardians of the Galaxy, you probably had high expectations for its sequel. I was lucky enough to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2 at the Everyman Cinema on opening night. Like most cinemas, the Everyman is a little pricey, but it gives you a better all round experience and better service than most. I treated myself to a Chambord Royale champagne-cocktail and settled in to watch the film.
I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinion about Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Those who didn’t like it criticised that it tries too hard to be funny. I think this is true to an extent – the humour came across as a little forced in places – but if the aim was to make me laugh, it worked. The other problem with the comedy aspect was that they had already released a lot of the material in the trailer; they extended some of the jokes, but the humour didn’t seem so fresh. The sequel had a lot to live up to – the plot certainly wasn’t as good as the first. Â But the costume design was incredible and overall I found the film entertaining – definitely worth a watch.
I loved it! Still preferred the first, but think it was funny enough still and the plot and soundtrack were pretty awesome. Yayyyy

Haha always gotta love the original! But yeah, it was funny and soundtrack was pretty good (although also not as good as the first one)
