In my previous post I was raving about my natural skin care routine for eczema, but this also inspired me to go natural with all of my day-to-day products.

As many of my friends will know, I have been a fan of cruelty-free living for years. However, after experiencing trouble with my skin, I have found it best to use natural products for beauty and personal care.

My favourite brand at the moment is Faith in Nature, their products all smell amazing and are 100% natural, vegan and cruelty-free. I use their aloevera shampoo and conditioner and their chamomile and aloevera deodorant.

The products are a reasonable price and last a long time. While they are not the cheapest personal care options available, they do their job well so to me it is value for money.

In other areas, I have found even more cost efficient beauty products:

  • I use  coconut oil as an all over body moisturiser and also as a hair sirum to add shine.
  • For exfoliation, I have recently started using a homemade sugar and coffee scrub which is a great smell to wake up to in the mornings!
  • In my case, acne has continued into adulthood. I have found that less chemicals I use on my skin, the less it tends to flare up. I use apple cider vinegar in place of a toner, however, this does smell strong so if I am going out of the house soon after I swap this for lemon juice. I also moisturise my face with coconut oil, but other than that I try to leave my skin alone.

These are all products that I have around my house anyway, but they can be bought fairly cheaply and go a very long way.

I hope this post gives you some ideas about using natural beauty products. I am currently looking into natural alternatives for hairdye and makeup so if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to comment!  ♥ 🌿
